All four share the 54 mm portafilter, PID temperature control and pre-infusion. The Barista Express is the classic all-in-one with a manual tamper and 16 grind settings. The Impress adds assisted tamping and auto-dose correction. The Pro heats in 3 seconds and has 30 grind settings for lighter roasts. The Touch adds a touchscreen with saved drinks and automatic milk texturing. The Bambino Plus has no grinder but is the smallest and steams milk automatically.
Yes — use the included dual-wall filter baskets for pre-ground coffee and the single-wall baskets when grinding fresh. Freshly ground beans give the best crema and flavour.
Not for the Barista Express, Impress, Pro or Touch — the grinder is built in. The Bambino Plus needs a grinder; any Breville Smart Grinder or a burr grinder set to espresso fineness works.
Run a cleaning cycle with a cleaning tablet when the machine prompts you (roughly every 200 shots), replace the water filter every 2–3 months, and descale as the manual describes for your water hardness. Genuine tablets and filters are in the accessories collection.
All machines sold here are the US models — 110–120 V, 60 Hz, with a standard US plug. They are not suitable for 220–240 V outlets without a transformer.
